“So good!”
First time having sushi in Tokyo - absolutely fantastic! So fresh and beautifully prepared. Prices similar to Vancouver…

“Rude staff and overhyped food”
Horrifying experience at this place. Zero service and the old male staff taking order just shouts at me for not placing my order when I have not even sat down or look at the menu. He then angrily thrust thrust the menu at me and keep shouting and asking me what I want. He kicks my chair near the cou...nter every time he walked past. This is just a 1 star restaurant and the mikochan don is not really fantastic too. Taste normal. It’s just cheap and sub standard food. You can find something better in Tokyo. The tsukemen next door has better food & service at the same price range.

“Hidden Gem”
First night in Tokyo and asked around what’s a good place to eat in the Shinjuku area, was recommended this place. We got there on a Friday and all Sushi was 50% off that day. While waiting for our food we spoke to the locals dining in there and they said it was their weekly spot. Food was delicious..., great hospitality, food wine and sushi made on the spot. Very authentic and fresh. Glad I was able to try them out while visiting Tokyo. This place is a must. It’s a hidden gem, on the second floor.

“Authentic Japanese Sushi”
We visited here after reading the reviews and wanted to try the local cuisine and not any tourist inspired menus. The place has a family feel to it with a nice atmosphere eating in front of the sushi chefs. It’s doesn’t have a wow factor but is just nice to experience a typical Japanese sushi meal.... I wouldn’t suggest travelling far to visit, but if you are nearby, it’s nice to try the sashimi there. We found the sushi restaurants around the fish market in Tokyo much more exciting and worth the trip there just to try.

“Traditional local sushi place”
The food is good and very affordable. The menu for tourist is very limited if you don’t know Japanese language. Hence, the lower rating cos I couldn’t order the food the locals ordered. I couldn’t point to other patrons’ food as I was the 1st batch of patrons for that day and I had no food reference... to point to. The limited sushi I ordered was fresh and good but the standard types of sushi. Service is not fantastic but I attribute it to them not being able to speak in other languages.
