“Family place near hotel b Asakusa”
A family run sushi spot in heart of Asakusa, this restaurant is just a couple of steps north of the b hotel. With a small sushi bar and a few tables (including a room in the back for larger groups) it’s relatively small. Our wait person, who gave us an English menu, pointed out their specials. The... Bento Box (¥2800) was excellent. Many other sushi options. Old style and non-touristy, you may not think you fit in. But stay. The family is warm and inviting and the food is delicious.

“Great sushi, great restaurant run by amazing people ”
I was visiting Tokyo with my parents, and decided to drop in to lunch at Mizuki en route to Sensoji in Asakusa. Mizuki had an English menu, and the owner Ms Inoue, was very warm and friendly, conversing with us in English, making sure we enjoyed our meal. We were having lunch at about 1.30pm that da...y, and while most other restaurants in the area had closed after the lunch crowd, Mizuki was one of the few that remained open and welcoming to tourists. For non Japanese speaking people and tourists with odd meal hours looking for good sushi, Mizuki is probably the top choice in the area. On a personal note, I had carelessly misplaced my wallet containing large amounts of money (money for the entire trip) in the restaurant. Of course when I realized my wallet was missing, I was panicking, trying to retrace my steps and figure out where I had left it. I believed I had lost it at a museum we visited earlier, so when the search at the museum turned up empty, I thought my wallet was lost for good. It was very upsetting. What I did not know at this time was that Ms Inoue was also desperately trying to return the wallet to me. She had tried to search in nearby hotels and tried searching for my name on Facebook but could not find me. But inside my wallet, my identity card had my Singaporean address on it. So she asked her daughter, who works in Singapore, if she could return it to me. Imagine my parents and my surprise and joy when the wallet I had lost in Tokyo a month earlier got delivered by Ms Inoue's daughter, Yuko and her husband to my parents' place in Singapore! We are so grateful to Ms Inoue and Yuko for the great lengths they have gone through to ensure my wallet was returned to me. Thank you and I hope everyone who visits Mizuki will be able to experience the same hospitality and grace Ms Inoue has extended to me and my family.

“Great Sushi!”
I had a wonderful lunch at Mizuki (Water Hee) near Asakusa in Tokyo. The staff spoke English and had an English menu. They were very warm and helpful. If you're there for lunch, I would recommend just ordering the lunch special, which wasn't listed on the menu in English, but I was very happy with w...hat I received. The fish was very fresh, and I loved that there was just the right amount of wasabi in each piece. The lunch special also came with miso soup (with little clams) and a small bowl of pickled vegetables that were really good. There is seating that is Western-style or Japanese-style.
