“Sushi in shinjuku! affordable and luxurious”
Amazing dinner course for sushi lovers seeking a well rounded, high end Japanese cuisine experience at an affordable price. We came here as a group of four and ordered the Unkai Course for 6,600 yen, which gave us a full course dinner that felt both luxurious and very satisfying. The meal started wi...th a delicate egg custard and maguro sushi appetizer that immediately set the tone for the rest of the course. After that, we were served several rounds of nigiri sushi featuring assorted clams and fresh fish such as salmon, kanpachi, and chutoro tuna. Every piece was carefully prepared and packed with flavor. For the main dish, we had the option to choose between grilled fish or chicken, and I personally went with the fish. It was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Alongside these dishes, we were also served a variety of complementary items that made the entire course feel complete and thoughtfully put together. As a little extra, we ordered drinks as well, including the haskap milk drink that I enjoyed so much I ended up ordering it twice because one just was not enough haha. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying dinner experience in Shinjuku.

“Not just another sushi joint!”
This beautiful restaurant's focus on Hokkaido specialties sets it apart. Fresh, earthy flavors and exquisite service. We had a multi-course set for ¥6000 and it was absolutely well worth it. My favorite was the tempura and its matcha salt condiment. I’m not a beer drinker but I was tickled pink by ...a blue beer served down my table. It’s not the bottle; it’s the actual beverage. The delicate blue of Hokkaido’s Abashiri craft brew comes from gardenias. For me, the Hokkaidoest item on the menu was a haskap sour, also available as a haskap soda for non-drinkers. “Haskap” doesn’t sound very Japanese, does it? That’s because the word comes from the language of the Ainu, the indigenous people of Hokkaido, ethnically distinct from mainstream Japanese. The haskap is the tart purplish-red berry of a plant related to honeysuckle that flourishes in cold latitiudes. *Love the warm, golden décor! Make a game of counting every depiction of a bear with a fish in its mouth.

“Wonderful Quality of Food for its Price”
Wonderful Dinner Experience at Sushi & Robata Sushiyama. We got the Sushi Unkai Dinner Course for only about 6,600 Yen, which is a really good deal for the amount of food that we actually got. My favourite dishes has got to be the sushi dishes, both the Tuna and also the seasonal sushi dishes. The... fish felt really fresh and exquisite, coupled with the Wasabi that really balances out the flavour. Overall, it was a great experience, and really recommended for you to bring friends and family to.

“Superb hidden sushi gem with fresh Hokkaido seafood!”
Incredible experience, strongly recommend the course meal set for variety of healthy seafood and sashimi. Also try the blue beer, it’s rare and very cool and goes well with the food. Corn tea is super fresh they use real corn from Hokkaido! Great place to meet with friends in Shinjuku.

“Sushi&Robata Shinjuku surpassed expectations”
Overall, I highly recommended this restaurant for those seeking a premium Hokkaido dining experience in Shinjuku without the exorbitant prices typically found in high-end Ginza sushi shops. Its combination of a dedicated 6,600 yen course and available private rooms makes it a versatile spot for bot...h special dates and professional gatherings.
