“Good sushi”
“What a great find in Shinjuku!”
The food and service was excellent. The restaurant was fully booked, but the staff found us a table. A top food experience. Highly recommended.

“A great intro to Tokyo's vibrant food scene.”
We walked up without a reservation and got a table. There was something for everyone on the menu for the timid to the more adventurous. I had the set "Omakase" menu which was a cool experience as the dishes rolled in. And in a cool atmosphere to boot.

“Lovely night”
A Delightful Evening at Sushi Course Unkai in Shinjuku, and it was a thoroughly smashing experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy a relaxed evening with mates, this is definitely it. The atmosphere is wonderfully laid-back, making us feel completely at ease while catchi...ng up. The service was exemplary—attentive without being overbearing, which added to the effortless flow of the night. As for the food, the "Unkai" course offered a fantastic variety, from the delicate Chawanmushi to the expertly seared Aburi sushi. A particular highlight was the beverage selection ; the sake and drinks were quite sophisticated and paired brilliantly with the fresh seafood. Whether it was the perfectly crisp tempura or the rich Ikura bowl, every dish hit the mark. It’s a brilliant find for anyone wanting top-tier sushi and a proper good time in Shinjuku.

“Wonderful sushi restaurant near Kabujicho”
It was wonderful to find such a peaceful, quiet spot right next to Kabukicho. I came here with a friend, and the atmosphere is elegant and refined. Not too noisy, so we could talk very comfortably. We ordered the Unkai Course. As a woman, I found the portion size to be just right; I left feeling per...fectly full. The quality of the fish was exceptionally fresh, and I particularly loved the texture of the Chu-toro. The wasabi is already tucked between the fish and the rice, which is exactly what you expect from a high-quality sushi restaurant. The Ikura was huge, plump, and incredibly juicy. Personally, I also really loved the first dish, the Chawanmushi. It is completely different from the kind you get at chain sushi restaurants; the layers of egg and crab were so rich and flavorful. The freshly fried tempura was also delicious! It was served with a matcha salt, which paired perfectly. Since this is a Hokkaido-based restaurant, we also tried some sake from Hokkaido. The interior features wooden bears everywhere, which are very cute
