MAIKA ATRE UENO Maika is a restaurant that offers creative Japanese cuisine with a focus on Kamameshi and snacks that go well with sake. The interior of the store has a modern Japanese atmosphere based on white wood and is fully equipment with private rooms, and it seems that barquests and girls-onl...y gatherings with a large number of people are also popular. “Lumch”
Food is reasonable. Near the Ueno station 2nd floor. Food served are pretty fast. Less crowd maybe because of weekdays. Can try this restaurant next visit.

“Ambience is quite nice..”
Actually wanted to have ramen but the line was too long so decided to try the kamemeshi (fragrant rice) in this place. At the end I still have to wait for nearly 30mins for the rice to be cooked. I must say the texture of rice is pretty good and it is also rather fragrant just that I find the meat (...a couple of them) were a little dry n tough..? They added pecan as one of the ingredients which I thought is quite interesting. All in all, I think it is still quite a decent meal though it came up to ~2000 yen?
