“Location Location Location”
Located so conveniently in Marubiru (Maru Building) just in front of JR Tokyo Station, this traditional Japanese restaurant serves very nice meals with wonderful selection of Japanese sake and wine. Attentive services by friendly staffs and wonderful view of Tokyo station from their private rooms sh...ould be noted too.

“Amazing food!”
The food at Mikagekura is amazing. I had Teishoku (Meal Set) Kaiseki, an informal version of the vaulted high gourmet cuisine of Japan. The meal consists of a sashimi first course, the best I’ve ever eaten. Then an o’bento style box of a dozen small plates. It’s gourmet jewelry. In addition ...there are the normal rice, miso and a set of steamed vegetables. Every bite was a taste and visual delight. Mikagekura also serves a wide range of other set meals and ala cart dishes. This is an all Japanese restaurant. There was no English menu and no one offered English to me though all were helpful. The menu models were limited. I was with a Japanese associate who did all the ordering. Mikagekura is is on the 6th floor of the Shin-Marunouchi building overlooking old Tokyo Station. The decor is elegant dark wood Japanese pub. It was quite and the service was very good. Mikagekura serves a wide range of sake and whisky which we didn’t try. On the 5th and 6th floor of the Shin-Marunouchi building are about a dozen other restaurants so if Mikagekura does not meet your needs, one of the others probably well.
