“High quality Japanese restaurant near Yugawara station”
Restaurants in touristy hot spring towns are usually mediocre and overpriced. But this place serves very high quality Japanese dishes at a reasonable price. We came here for lunch and ordered set menus that ranged from JPY1,600-JPY2,300. The fish, served in varying styles, was excellent. Recommended... if you are in the area.

“Fantastic seafood!”
A small, quaint place. Staff was very friendly (though not English speaking). The sashimi was great, but the grilled kinmetai (金目鯛) was the best ever!
“Excellent seafood, but beware the omakase”
Excellent seafood at this small restaurant in Yugawara, however, the atmosphere created by the proprietor could be more genial. The menu is quite extensive so we asked for the chef's choice all the kaiser I style courses were very good, but I feel we were taken advantage of when the bill (check) arr...ived.
