Isokura Aobadaiten

For those seeking a better-class Izakaya, Isokura, just a few minutes walk from Aobadai Station, is a great choice. They have a large menu of set/Kaiseki meals, or an eclectic izakaya menu that focuses on seafood, but covers all the bases. Private rooms are available, but we chose to sit in the ma...in dining area so we could watch the action in the kitchen. We ordered a ton of food, and probably eight drinks, and the bill came to just over 5,000yen/person, definately worth the price. Food and presentation was excellent, beer was cold, service was attentive and quick. We'll be back on our next visit.
