“A real Japanese place to eat.”
I went here about a week ago with my wife and we really enjoyed it. I'm from Ireland and don't speak much Japanese, so ordering food in Japan can be tricky... but this place made it easy. Phew! There was a handy English menu, and as a good drinker I was happy to be able to read an English drinks men...u too. One nice thing about here is the authentic atmosphere that comes from not being in a chain-restaurant; instead you're in a one-off restaurant that the locals themselves eat in (salarymen and couples). It was the real-Japan, not Yoshinoya beef bowl! The food itself was tasty (I had the fried chicken and I sampled some nice beer and shochu, and an interesting "spirit" from Okinawa that I hadn't tasted before. Lucky! Herself is a vegetarian (which can be a challenge) but there were some options for her on the menu too and she was stuffed by the end of it. The prices were fine, not expensive at all. Like I said, there are plenty of locals there so the prices are totally normal. After a day shopping for kitchen bits n pieces in Kappa-bashi and then visiting the famous but crowded temple in Asakusa, it was nice to find this place, sit down, relax and just enjoy being in Tokyo! Recommended!

“better than expected”
It was small and narrow restaurant. Fried chicken? I did not expect anything. But food was all delicious, not only fried chiken but also other all. It was better than expected. Staff was kind.
