“Excellent Value”
To be clear at the outset, this is not Fine Dining. Food generally in Japan is wonderful and there are excellent good quality restaurants everywhere. The Torikizoku chain of restaurants is though excellent value for money for what you get, and worth a visit every now and then when you want something... quick. Every item on the menu is 390 Yen (about $2.50 or less than £2 in GBP) and that is for all food and drinks, including the Suntory Mega draft lager at near a litre measure. Food is reasonable quality and service is super quick. As a solo traveller on business, on nights when you just want to refuel on food and drink, this place is a god-send. You can go in, eat and drink your fill and get a bill at the end that is not much more than £10.

“Convenient, tasty and cheap”
As a single diner, I was seated in a little booth near the door - the waitress came and took my drink order and asked if I wanted to order the monthly special, then left me with the multi-lingual (Japanese, Chinese and English) iPad to order the rest of my meal. Very straightforward menu, with an e...xplanation of each dish or drink. Everything on the menu costs 300 yen, unless listed otherwise, and for the yakitori skewers that gets you two sticks. Service was fast and friendly - there's a lot of shouting from the staff as guests arrive and the atmosphere in the main part of the restaurant seemed fun. This would be a great place for a dinner for a group with limited spoken Japanese.

“good & easy dinner”
If you need an easy dinner, average quality but also cheap price, this yakitori chain could be a goof choice. Here in Akasaka Mitsuke is located at 5 minutes walking distance from the metro station. Table separated by wood wall give you a bit of privacy. Easy to order with iPads.
