“A visit to this Tempura restaurant is essential”
Good service and attention from the chef and staff of this small but excellent tempura restaurant just enhances the taste of the tempura and the rice bowl at the end of the meal. Just leave the chef to decide on the tempura menu items and add lemon juice or salt as instructed. You get a huge heaped ...bowl of grated daikon to go with the tempura dip. The range of sake is small but chosen to highlight the tempura. I recommend the Dassai premium. Dont let the location in a quiet business building dissuade you from eating here.

“One Michelin Star Tempura Restaurant ”
This unassuming tiny restaurant is located in a business building in Minato Mirai. The restaurant has a counter seating area & 2 other small tables. The chef is skillful as my paper that sits the Tempura pieces only starts to have slight oil stain after the 7-8 pieces.

“Tempura Lunch ”
Helpful English menus with nice photos. The counter where you watch the chef is reserved for set meals (starting at ¥5,000 aprox). Table service choices are reasonably priced and delicious. Small space, reservations might help.

“Excellent tempura meal”
Went to this restaurant in Minatomirai, Yokohama for lunch at the recommendation of a Japanese resident. It was one of the best meal during our trip. Our friend recommended that we sit at the counter because the oil apparently is fresher and the food can be served literally off the wok. We orde...red the set menu which was about 3500 yen for about 12 items. It is actually quite reasonable considering both quantity and value. We were served seasonal vegetables and local fishes. The batter was very delicate and fine. The food was more than sufficient. Will definitely return!

“Fine Tempura and friendly service”
Mr. Fukunishi prepares and serves fine tempura. I manage speaking in Japanese but he gently explained to my foreign visitor guest how to each every dish, in English. Do not expect a fancy deluxe restaurant, everything is in the tempura and the kindness of the service. It largely compensate for the... mundane setting. Prefer the counter.
