“Hidden Gem”
A fine little French restaurant tucked away off a quiet side street in Minami Aoyama, a bit hard to find but worth the search. Chef Okamoto Hideki features ingredients from his native Hokkaido, deliciously prepared and exquisitely presented. To sample the fare, we ordered both the dinner menu and th...e full, nine-course dégustation menu, with a bottle of charming white wine from Hokkaido’s Yamazaki Vineyards. The two menus were almost completely different, and every dish was a delight. The space is very simple and (the night we went) quiet, the service is excellent, and the bill quite reasonable for a dining experience of this quality in Tokyo. Also open for lunch.
