“Good but not great”

This is a very elegant restaurant befitting its 2 Michelin stars and the service was outstanding - attentive but not overbearing. We had about 6 courses as part of the prix fixe. Overall the food was good but I don't know if it was worthy of 2 M stars. Price was not cheap but in line with its rating...s. Wine selection good and reasonably priced.

“Ryuzu-A Special Memory”

Ryuzu, a two-star Michelin French restaurant in Tokyo, rivaled two and three-star restaurants in Paris. We know French food. The 11th Arrondissement in Paris is our second home, and Ryuzu would be heralded in the City of Light. With an elegant space, white-gloved service who spoke better English ...than me, and a culinary artistry that defined the word amazing, Ryuzu delivers on its two-star designation. The degustation dinner had plate after plate of wonderment. If I have one criticism, it would be that the pacing was slightly too fast, but that might be the only misstep. The bread, the 2012 Sancerre, everything was memorable. At the end of our meal, Chef Ryuta Iizuka came out to converse with us in French and English. This master of the kitchen even escorted us outside with humility and appreciation. Only Chef Indra Carrillo, from the famed La Condesa in Paris, has shown us such care as Chef Iizuka. The final bill came to $450.00 including three glasses of wine and three cocktails. That's a great deal of money in a world filled with strife and pain. Yet, sometimes, a splurge, in context, is worth it. Ryuzu will be a cherished memory.

Top quality ingredients used masterfully by the Japanese chefs ! An elegant touch to French cuisine with a Japanese perspective!The wagyu beef is one of the best you could have anywhere!The wine tasting was excellent with the best choice being a Chaillot 2016 Cornas!

“Would not return.”

Perhaps the restaurant was having an off day but we encountered the following issues: - The food was not great. The asparagus was bitter and two of the dishes had substantially the same sauce. - Our waiter bumped into my friend’s chair every time he passed her seat. No apologies or even an excuse ...me until my friend couldn’t stand it any more and asked him to stop. The experience was definitely not worth the price.

“Good experience. Don't miss the foie gras with black truffle!”

Good experience. Everything was well done. Although I would have expected more from a 2 star Michelin restaurant. Usually I would expect dishes on another level. Having said that, the foie gras with black truffle and Madeira wine was incredible.One of the best things I've ever eaten. The wine pairin...g was also spot on!!!! Service was very good.
