Very average quality and lousy service too. Service really has dropped off. Do not visit here for lunch or stay..its overrated and not worth the prices they charge

Food in the afternoon prepared. Small space without atmosphere. Fish dry and badly baked. € 70 pp and ready within 30 minutes. The piza in Hakone tent €5 was the best ever

I tried to enter the restaurant and before I even could, the host said “we are using it, there are VIPs in there. Maybe someday.” Unbelievable!

The bad: I've lived in Japan for several years, and I've not had such terrible service yet even in 1,000 JPY ramen shops. First of all when I entered I was made to feel like I shouldn't be there. Second I was made to order in the hallway before going to the dining room -- what you expect me not to o...rder or something? Third, when I went to the bathroom I overheard the server complaining about 'gaijin'...semi racist commentary I guess but I didn't hear the whole conversation. Finally when we left there was no one from the whole staff to be seen. We were the last dinners and the staff completely disappeared'; we had to let ourselves out. The good: Food was acceptably good for the price. The building is old and well taken care of for it's age (built in showa 5 nen or 1930), if you like that sort of thing. Conclusion: Server made my Japanese wife cry from his semi-racist statements. Won't repeat and only recommend if you can bear feeling like you don't belong.

Food was good - not a one star Michelin but still very tasty. The atmosphere was a little stuffy and quiet for us. The decor looked the same since the 1940s. Maybe that was the point but just not something we were expecting.
