Great experience. Easy access, great availability, clean and fun with the interactive game! Had both sushi and other dishes, all were very good! Will defiantly go back again!

Well priced sushi restaurant frequented by locals. Good number of gluten free options available, recommend you download the English language allergen menu before you go and arrive an hour earlier than you want to eat in the evening as it’s popular even on weekdays! You order from an iPad at your tab...le and can change the language to English!

The 90-minute wait was worthwhile. Before being told of your table number, all diners are first taught by the counter staff how to open the lid of the sushi plater on the conveyor belt. My family enjoyed every plate of sushi, especially seeing special orders being sent to our table via the fast-pace...d belt. Every 5 empty plates dropped into the return tray (underneath the conveyor belt) entitles the diner to play an game. We won a gashapon (capsule toy) ! Cheap and good sushi (JPY4784 for 35 plates of sushi) in a relaxing ambience.

There's so much to love about Kura Sushi. Firstly, the sushi is delicious, fresh, well-priced, and even special orders arrive promptly on a fast-paced sushi shuttle. Then to be able to use your plates as tokens to play a game to win a capsule toy! So much fun. The only down side is the ticketing sys...tem to be seated. The number is read in Japaneses and unless you speak it or have a good ear, you will battle. Luckily, on both occasions we went, there were locals who will be willing to help. The first time we went we went to the payment area and asked for them to please say our number in English when it came up and they were happy to help.

We went out of our way to check out Kura because it's what happens when your children watch crap on YouTube and nag you to try it. However, at 100 Yen per plate for 90% of the plates, it was worth it. And what a fun restaurant to immerse yourself in Japan's eating culture. After depositing five emp...ty plates in a slot, you get to play a game and if you win, you get a capsule toy. At the end when we were extremely stuffed and shy of 2 plates to complete a set of 5, our kids ordered 2 more plates and stuffed their mouths in order to play the game. Normally they wouldn't give a crap. Everything is done electronically on a tablet. Ordered food comes zooming down a conveyor belt. Pre-made food goes around the rotating conveyor belt. I loved making my own green tea. Oh yeah, and the food was pretty decent. Went in with low expectations since it's 100Y per plate but we all enjoyed our food and the best thing was, it cost us about $35USD for a family of 4. One of THE cheapest and most fun meals we ate during our time in Japan.
