I had dinner here after my first full day of exploring Tokyo. I was staying near Hirai station in Edogawa and popped in here because it smelled good. There was no English menu available and with my very limited knowledge of Japanese, ordering food was humbling for me. The staff was very kind and p...atient with me. After using google translate on both ends, I managed to order fried chicken, tuna onigiri, and umeboshi onigiri. The fried chicken was hot, crispy and seasoned just right. The tuna onigiri was very tasty and I’m not even a big fan of tuna. I did not know what umeboshi was prior to this dinner, so I tried it and was pleasantly surprised by the sour, pickled taste. Overall, the dinner was just what I needed and I will always feel thankful for the welcoming, kind and understanding people.
