“Wonderful food in a traditional and welcoming place”
My friend and I stopped in here for lunch. Although we arrived near the tail end of the lunchtime busy period it was stilll pretty busy with what appeared to be mostly locals, always a good sign if you're wanting quality food at a reasonable price I think. The tempura was really good. We sat at the... counter so it was cooked in front of us and you can see the care, and attention that comes with frying something but avoiding it being too greasy, keeping the batter light. My friend got talking with the owner who told us about how his family had been running the restaurant for generations. There was a photo of how it looked before sadly the place was bombed in the war and the owner/chef seemed very happy to talk to us though I should point out my friend speaks really good Japanese. I always felt welcome, was very happy with the food and my friend mentioned how she would definitely go back with other guests.

“Traditional but reasonable Tempura joint”
This tempura restaurant has been there over 4 generations in Asakusa where you can still find many old Tokyo style shops and restaurants. This place is very small and popular. Tempura is cooked in front of you only after you order it, and most importantly it is very crisp and tasty. This is the pla...ce you can enjoy traditional old school tempura with a reasonable price.

“Perfect Lunch”
We have eaten in this little restaurant for lunch : it was perfect. The Tempura Menu is wonderful. The Chef has prepared our courses in front of us, really nice. Next time we will go to Tokyo, we will eat here for sure !
