FARO

Unfortunately, it was not for me. The flower-decorated dish was so pretty, the ambience was good and service was nice. However, unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. 1) the taste was not what I hoped (I might have expected too much?) For example, a sardine in the pasta was not as fresh as expected. 2) S...parkling water was served one after without being asked. Therefore, we were charged for several bottles. It would have been nice if they had asked us if we needed more bottles. 3) The price was not cheap (as I knew). 4) The money was taken when I booked and returned before the dining date, and it was taken again and returned really confusing. This restaurant is for somebody else, but not for me.

Excellent fine dining - we have eaten at many Michelin rated restaurants, and this experience stood out for its exceptionally beautiful presentation and balance of textures and flavors. Each course was a delightful surprise and yet the collection of courses felt cohesive and satisfying. The ch...ef sources most ingredients from Japanese farmers and suppliers with attention to local and sustainable sourcing which was an important aspect in our choice of restaurants to visit in Tokyo.

We dined here with a large party, organized by our Japanese friends. Faro is a unique restaurant, offering vegan and organic dishes and is a member of the Japanese Sustainable Restaurant Association. We all ordered the vegan tasting menu with wine pairing. Every dish was a revelation, creative prese...ntation, unusual combinations and amazing tastes. The service was impeccable, worthy of any other fine dining high-class restaurant that we have ever been to, and each dish was carefully explained. In a city where it is so hard to find good vegetarian options, Faro is an absolute find. The decor is impressive and atmosphere welcoming and comfortable. We were honored that Chef Noda came to our table before and after the meal to chat with us and ask about our experience. A totally magical evening in Tokyo and a highly recommended restaurant experience.

We first visited chef Noda's restaurant Bistro64 in Rome last year which was excellent. Since then I visited Faro in Ginza twice; once for lunch and once for dinner. This is an beautiful excellent restaurant with a great staff including a very knowledgeable sommelier. Service is awesome and food ...is excellent and very imaginative. I will definitely be back.

This is my third time to visit FARO. I was impressed by their chicken and chestnut risotto. It was so delicious. This time I ordered lunch set menu - appetizer, pasta, main course, and my favorite dessert trolley. My appertizer is amberjack with daikon in honey sauce. The presentation was very good ...and raw fish with daikon refreshed your taste buds. Next one is risotto - chicken with bean. I would say this one was above average, cheesey creamy. Main course is beef with anchovy Rosemary sauce. Beef was tender and the sauce gave certain bouns. My favorite is the dessert trolley, if you don't know what to choose, you can always order everything. They can give you bite size of all kinds of desserts. The service is very good, place is quiet and clean and they served dishes timely.
