Soba noodle shop in Ginza 1-chome, established in 1935. This restaurant is famous as the originator of “Kamo Seiro,” a popular dish on the soba menu. Since it is located slightly away from downtown Ginza, it is not very crowded and you can enjoy a relaxing meal.

“It was an enjoyable dinner in a nostalgic atmosphere.”

A friend had booked a table for four at this soba restaurant. I had been told that this restaurant started business in the 1930s, but was still surprised to find the restaurant in a quiet area at the northern peripheral of Ginza and east of Kyobashi. The restaurant says that they originated kamo sei...ro which is soba with a dipping sauce containing large chunks of smoked duck meat and leek. We had a pre-arranged course menu with a drink as much as you like bar service at 6,000 yen per person. The atmosphere is a very traditional soba restaurant. Their sake selection was very good for a soba restaurant. It was an enjoyable dinner in a nostalgic atmosphere.
