Cute shop, sadly the menu outside says a la carte, but they refuse to do it, they also will not seat parties of one, only parties of two.

This was a fun and flavorful sushi experience. The chef modified the 10 piece meal to accommodate my wife’s and my differing preferences for a couple of fish. Also had a good selection of Japanese whiskey and sakes. An enjoyable experience.

When Japan announced borders were opening up, I knew I had to come back. I wanted to try a Michelin starred Omakase this time around. But, everything was either booked or too pricey. Right then and there, I knew I had to go back to Shinjuku Makoto. We arrived 5 minutes early to our reservation ma...de online to a fairly packed night this time around, but was seated quickly at the counter. there were 4 other people at the counter with us with tables packed behind us. They were EXTREMELY busy this night. the 2 sushi chefs did not stop for a second the whole night! of course, this did make our wait for our food a little longer than normal but I'm not complaining. You get to see the precision, speed, and accuracy of their craft. we went with the Seasonal Delicacies Dinner course which came to around 100 dollars a person. Every piece was perfect and tasted exactly as I remembered it on my first visit. The staff were very friendly and attentive. If you want to try amazing sushi without having to pay Michelin star money, This is the place to go!
