“A hidden gem worth a trip for foodies looking for something new and uniquely delicious”
We celebrated my wife's birthday at Francais La Porte and had an exciting time. The Chef's "omakase" course offered creative approaches to French cuisine enhanced by Japanese care for details and charged by fresh local seafood and vegetables. The sommelier poured us some nice champagne to start and... helped select a Bourgogne to pair well with the multiple courses. They served a combination of shellfish in a cocktail glass, a delicious beef pie served in packaging inspired by McDonald's, a delightful mix of shrimp, scallop, and sea bream covered in white wine and butter sauce, and Omi wagyu beef served rare with delicious local mushrooms.
