“Very long wait but super worth for GREAT ramen”
This place does NOT deserve that many bad reviews from others 🤷 Firstly, the long waiting time should be expected; I took a ticket at 12pm on a weekday for a 3pm slot and had to wait another hour or so after reaching there promptly. That’s because there is a total of 12 seats (6 counter + table for... 2 + table for 4). Can’t do anything about this small place but this could be common practice at other good ramen places which are usually family-based and don’t want to expand too much to preserve quality. Also, there was only 2 people cooking + 1 server so visit with the right expectations 😲 Next, their ramen was very good; I opted for their popular spicy tantanmen which was only mildly spicy and more importantly, the special broth did not leave an overwhelming salty/sour aftertaste unlike average ramens 👍🏻 This is the hallmark of a great ramen and thus you are able to finish the entire tasty soup without feeling excessively greasy 😋 Lastly, the service was acceptable and hardly rude; I felt bad for the young male server who had to profusely apologise for the delay (I counted 3 times at least). Typical Japanese service standards were all met inside the shop 👍🏻 All in all, this is a place I would like to come back to try their other ramen flavours ❤️

“Best.”
Best food in the world, in my opinion. I wish it was available in Sweden or I had the opportunity to resell it myself so the Swedish people could enjoy it as much as I do.

“Fantastic ramen!”
Normally every review of any kind of restaurant is about food, service…. But visit to Nakiryu starts with waiting. You can read all about waiting times in almost every review on Nakiryu so I will not be describing details. Of course I’ve checked other reviews before visiting Nakiryu. I usually don’...t comment on other reviews but can’t help to make an exception this time. Looks like some people can’t separate waiting time and food itself. Is this the best ramen in Tokyo? I don’t know. Haven’t tried them all. But if someone says that it is not a great ramen then he or she doesn’t have a clue what a good ramen is. There are popular restaurants around the world where you don’t wait but you need to book weeks or even months in advance. In Nakiryu you can’t book but you wait in line. Almost everybody is writing about that so if you don’t like it just don’t go there. But don’t blame it on a food. Is it worth waiting? After waiting for an hour and a half the first time I went there again after a week and waited a bit over 2 hours second time! So my answer is big YES I was alone so I was lucky to get counter seat both times. It was a pleasure watching sous-chefs at work. Although serving ramen and some other dishes, where liquid or sauce cover ingredients, attention to details is incredible. And final result fantastic. Of course, I suggest that after a long wait you try as many different dishes as you can. But of course noodles are the star of the place. For my personal taste Soy-sauce ramen are perfect but dandan noodles are unforgettable.

“Worth the visit, especially if you get counter seats”
Top Ramen @ an UNBEATABLE price considering this place has won a Michelin ⭐ for 7️⃣ years in a row 😯🤩 #ProTips: 🔸Arrive before 10am (9:45-9:55) if you want to be among the first 12 @ 11am when they open 🔸Be prepared to wait a minimum of 1hr (up to 2.5) & if you're lucky 30mins 🔸If coming during th...e 🥶 months then come prepared, there is a killer wind in this street. 🔸Inside config = 6 front row chef counter + 2 seater table + 4 seater 🔸While waiting in line, make sure everyone is always there otherwise you risk being sent back to the end 🔸Cash 💵 only, aprox 1000 per ramen plain or 1500 with top 3 toppings (🥚+🐷+nori) 🔸Dumplings are 👌🏻 but the 🦐/🐖 wontan w/ Spicy Garlic sauce is stellar! Must get! 🔸If you want a lighter tasting ramen go for the soy-sauce based 🔸Spice lvl 🔥 on the Tantanmen & wontans are around a 4/10 (I really like spicy food) & it doesn't linger but does build up on the soup with every bite. GF who doesn't really tolerate spicy food was able to eat a wontan & loved it. 🔸The drawer in front of you which has your 🥢 also has bibs (in black) & napkins in white, just pull it out enough to see them... I accidentally used the bib as a napkin until I opened it up much later & realized my mistake 🤣 We arrived at 10:10, party of 5 & split up at entrance, 2 first at around 11:20 and they entered at 11:45. At first we were a bit sad to have to be split up but luckily for my gf & I, we were seated at the 2 center seats at Chef's Kazumasa Saito's counter 😱🥹. Honestly, seeing him & his sous chef (?) @ work was such a great experience. From how they carefully prepare each 🍽️ & order so that they always go out together to his unique style during certain preparations. The food, well, no flaws. Def go for the tantan or sanramen if you are looking for rich flavours with a perfect balance. If you want a lighter based ramen then do the soy based (I didn't try he salt ver). Is it worth the wait? Yea, especially if you go with his signature tantan or sanramen, a great combination & balance of flavors. The wontans should also get praise & if you are lucky to get a counter seat then it's outta the park.

“Farwell lunch”
Four of us had ramen. Tan Tan Men / Hot & Sour Soup Ramen / Wanton Shoyu. We find the Ramen to be good, unfortunately, soup base was just over salty. No complain with Yaki Gyoza n fried toufu
