NAKIRYU

I am not a big fan of tantanmen, so I went to Nakiryu for their Tokusei Shoyu. But if you want this special shoyu bowl, do not go for dinner, as they do not have it available. For dinner there is only a regular, rather Spartan shoyu ramen. Yes, it is a great soup, with a broad range of flavours and ...a great taste, thin, chewy thin noodles, but I must confess that it was not good enough to compensate for the long wait in line and the disappointment of the limited menu in the evening. The so-called charsiu rice was nice, but not out of this world. I’m sure a French food critic was impressed with this ramen, but maybe he/she did not have to wait 50 minutes in line to find a limited menu waiting. It ends up being an unintentional tourist trap. Great service, nice people...and their tantanmen looks fabulous..

Get there an hour early ... play on your phone and get over it, this wait’s worth it. A wonderful full bodied ramen - the broth has depth, roundness and spice - noodles are chew-licious (get the extra serving or die w regret) pork perfect, luscious perfectly soft boiled egg, flavorful sides. I order...ed, but was not as taken w the fatty pork - was a bit common. Wished I’d ordered 1,2, maybe 3 bowls of ramen to go. Just lovely. Great service. Easy ordering (just be sure to have cash) staff helpful throughout the process.

We arrived 30 minutes early and waited 3 hours for a seat. If we had ben a little earlier I think the wait would have been much less. It's rumored they only serve the first 100 people. The loded ramen was outstanding but the rice with pork was my favorite! We were in line with people that travel the... world looking for the best ramen. If you can't wait try Devil's ramen.

This was 150% worth the hour and half wait time. We got to the place at 11am (30mins before opening time) and there were already 26 people in front of us. Take some entertainment with you because you will be waiting at the very least 1hr to get in. We ordered the Deluxe Tantanmen and it was divine.... The broth is so full of flavour (slightly on the sour side) but absolutely delicious. The coriander on the side qas perfect (you have to order this separately). The serving size is quite decent so go with an appetite! Also, orders are placed through a vending machine and it only accepts 1,000 yen notes. Enjoy!

This is certainly the best ramen I ate. We came at 18:00 when it opened , and had to wait for 2 hours in line!!! Small place. 10 people eat at a time. There's a machine in the entrance where you order ( they help you...) and you can choose excellent toppings for your soup and tasty side dishes. I ha...d the soya flavoured ramen, my friends had the spicy... and we all loved it!!!! Highly recommended!!!
