“Review of Shinjuku Kakekomi Gyoza Kabukichou”

"If you're a fan of gyoza, Shinjuku Kakekomi Gyoza Kabukichou is a must-visit spot in Kabukicho! This little gem specializes in gyoza and serves up some of the most delicious dumplings I've ever had. The gyoza is crispy on the outside, yet juicy and flavorful on the inside—just the right balance of ...texture and taste. The restaurant itself has a lively, casual atmosphere, making it a great spot for a fun meal with friends or even a solo visit. The service was quick and friendly, and they have a variety of dipping sauces that pair perfectly with the gyoza. The menu also offers other tasty dishes like fried rice and noodles, so you can create a full meal if you're hungry. One thing I really loved was the option to try different types of gyoza, such as pork, chicken, and even veggie options. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. Located in the bustling Kabukicho area, it’s easy to find, and it’s a great place to grab a late-night bite after exploring the neighborhood. Overall, if you're craving amazing gyoza, Kakekomi Gyoza in Kabukichou is a perfect choice!"

“Gyoza avg but fantastic fried chicken”

Stopped by for the gyoza but was blown away by the fried chicken with honey mustard sauce. This place opens 24/7 & right in the middle of kabukicho. Its small & cozy, you order everything via the tablet which has English. Note the order button and the request check button are still in Japanese. ... The house pan fried gyoza & the 5 color pan fried gyoza (2020 olympics) were just ok. While the bottom had the charred brown/black skin, the rest of the gyoza was mushy, sticky & gooey. Some of the gyozas were not evenly cooked. Def inferior to the Gyozanofukuho next to Shinjuku gyoemmae station. The fried chicken was boneless & skinless with light batter. The meat was ultra light and airy with a crunchy light crust. Their honey mustard sauce was just absolutely perfect, i need to know the recipe. 1661 JPY ($12 USD) for 3 items is a steal. Will be back next time to try the horse meat sushi & the mazemon. They also offer drink specials.

Who would have thought that there is so many different ways to cook Gyozas but we tried a lot of them and all were good! Didn’t go near the horse meat but the gyozas were real tasty!

Quick, simple enjoyable food. Order through iPad in English makes things easy. Mix of local and tourist clientele when we turned up on a Friday.

Great gyoza izakaya. Order via iPad menu and there is an English version. Gyoza was excellent as well as apetizers. Great seating upstairs. Service was quick and efficient but not very friendly. For a family of 3 our bill was ¥4,000.
