“Severe Food Poisoning Warning for Vegetarians/Allergies”
I urge extreme caution for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies coming to this restaurant. I have been a strict vegetarian for 8 years. The staff themselves were very kind, and despite the language barrier (little to no English), communication seemed fine and easy to handle at the time. M...y companions' food was completely fine, in fact, they loved their meals so much they were planning a return visit before we realized what happened to me. I ordered what was supposed to be vegetarian gyoza. By the time I had finished eating mine, my friend (who is not vegetarian and eats meat) tried one of the remaining gyoza from my plate and immediately confirmed that it was pork. Because of this error and severe cross-contamination in the kitchen, I developed severe bacterial enteritis shortly after the meal. I had to seek urgent care at a medical clinic and am currently on 4 different prescription medications, including strong antibiotics and anti-nausea drugs, which has completely disrupted my trip to Japan. While the service was pleasant and my friends initially enjoyed their food, the kitchen's lack of food safety standards caused a serious medical emergency. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or have severe allergies, please avoid this establishment for your own safety.

“Food good, vibes to improve...”
verall, this gyoza restaurant was quite good. The gyoza were tasty (even if the second batch was slightly burned), and we also tried the chicken with mustard and honey, which was very good as well. Our waiter was fun and added to the experience. That said, I have to mention that for some reasons it ...didn’t feel particularly tourist-friendly.

“Amazing Sukiyaki in the Heart of Shinjuku”
I had a great experience here in Shinjuku! I was invited to try the all-you-can-eat sukiyaki and it was very good. Everything was unlimited (wagyu, vegetables and rice). The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and immersive. A special mention to the staff, who were extremely kind, welcoming, and a...ttentive throughout the meal.

“Crappy restaurant with bait and switch practices”
Worst food experience in Tokyo. Was made to purchase more food than intended and was threatened with calling the police when bill charge was disputed. Only communicated via Google Translate. This is a sketchy Kabukicho restaurant. Avoid at all costs.

“Review of Shinjuku Kakekomi Gyoza Kabukichou”
"If you're a fan of gyoza, Shinjuku Kakekomi Gyoza Kabukichou is a must-visit spot in Kabukicho! This little gem specializes in gyoza and serves up some of the most delicious dumplings I've ever had. The gyoza is crispy on the outside, yet juicy and flavorful on the inside—just the right balance of ...texture and taste. The restaurant itself has a lively, casual atmosphere, making it a great spot for a fun meal with friends or even a solo visit. The service was quick and friendly, and they have a variety of dipping sauces that pair perfectly with the gyoza. The menu also offers other tasty dishes like fried rice and noodles, so you can create a full meal if you're hungry. One thing I really loved was the option to try different types of gyoza, such as pork, chicken, and even veggie options. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. Located in the bustling Kabukicho area, it’s easy to find, and it’s a great place to grab a late-night bite after exploring the neighborhood. Overall, if you're craving amazing gyoza, Kakekomi Gyoza in Kabukichou is a perfect choice!"
