KAMIYA

After spending time at the nearby temple complex we decided to have lunch here upstairs. Apparently on Street level there is quite a famous western style bar reputed to be the oldest in Tokyo, possibly Japan. Upstairs there are a couple of big dining rooms. Very plain , no decoration, reminded me ...of the old department store canteens. Quite busy, I think very popular with the locals. Good service and good tasty fresh meals. There were two lunchsets on the menu. Between us we had the two, very good value Meat, cabbage, curry, rice or bread, miso soup, pickles. With one set you got a beer , the other set a very small glass of nice wine. Good place to eat,, maybe try the historic bar on the ground floor

ここは平日でもほとんど満員 予約が必要です わたしはハヤシライスとサラダコーヒー 値段はそこそこですが 甘味うまみで日本一でしょう 料理がすぐ出るという点でも 混んでいるときはおすすめ 何を頼んでもうまいので 一番高いお弁当がいいと思います 旨味がつまっていて 充実感が半端ない ので英語で Kamiya is famous for Japanese styled cuisine such as curried rice and hayasi rice like hashed beef and crocket so on. If you are interested in Japanese di...sh I fully recommend bento incl. crocket sarad hanburg etc.. My favorite is hayasi rice brack coloured beef and rice having great flavour with rich melty taste.
