Shinjuku Kashikiri Dantai Akitekucha cafe＆bar Sumika

Sumika is a really cool hidden café in Shinjuku with a stylish, modern atmosphere. The space has exposed concrete, flowers throughout the interior, and a much larger layout than you might expect from the outside. It feels like a great place to relax, meet friends, grab coffee, or enjoy dessert. The... digital menu made ordering easy, and they offer a good range of drinks, food, and parfaits. During the day it works nicely as a café, but it also seems to transform into more of a bar-style space at night, with private rooms available as well. The only slightly confusing thing is that the name and purpose of the place can be hard to understand online. I’ve seen it listed under several names, including Sumika, Sumick Architecture Cafe, Hananoaru Sumika, “a house with flowers,” and “a home for flowers,” so finding the exact listing can take a bit of checking. Other than that, it’s a beautiful and unique spot worth visiting if you’re exploring Shinjuku.

It’s a scam don’t go ther. They will pay you 23$ of fee more than expected. You have to find an another restaurant please. It’s unfair.

The pancake is great! The interior is filled with flowers and looks amazing and colorful. Good relaxing R&B music choices.

The atmosphere was great, love the flower decor everywhere & they played American R&B. They food portions were a little small but very good, and the mixed drinks were delicious!

This was a great place to get out of the heat and into the AC for a few hours! I had ice cream that was amazing and the staff was extremely kind. Super cute interior and a great vibe!
