“Authentic Late-Night Japanese Dining Experience”
We visited Odenya Takeshi in Shinjuku 3 Chome twice during our stay and were impressed both times. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Midnight Diner, but the space is larger and brighter. It’s a local favourite—on both visits, we were the only non-Japanese guests. The menu is entirely in Japanese, and... the staff do not speak English, so be prepared to point or use a translation app. The restaurant specialises in broth-based dishes, with options featuring octopus, chicken, and various meats. The chicken dish, in particular, was outstanding—rich, flavourful, and deeply satisfying. This is a great spot for those seeking an authentic, no-frills Japanese dining experience. Highly recommended for adventurous eaters and fans of local cuisine.

“Unique place”
Unique flavors and environment in a great location. One of my best meals in Japan. Try the duck, you’ll not regret it. Definitely going back.
