Yokohama Monorisu

Just had a very beautiful lunch here. Started with a tuna salad, followed my cold potato soup. Finished off with beef tounge. Omg. How nice was that. Didn’t know what we were eating until the end. Just delicious. Great view also.

I visited this restaurant last week as a treat from my friend. I didn't even know the place existed. It is up on (near?) the top of the Collette Mare shopping building at Sakuragi-Cho Station. You must take the elevator on the hotel side? up, and until you get inside the doors, you wouldn't even... know it was there. It seems to be a place popular for wedding parties. We were there for lunch on a Friday. There were several lunch options..2,000 yen for a minimal lunch.. 3.500 lunch which we had..and there was one more 5,000 yen lunch. For the 3.500 yen lunch we chose an appetizer and a main.. and had the little dessert bar later with tea. The appetizer I chose was scallops (raw) and they had parmesan cheese spriinkled on them. Different than I have ever had..and quite tasty. There was a cool potato soup and my main was fish. All beautifully presented. The dessert bar has different small portions (so you can try them all) of various sweets..cheesecake being one of our favorites. They take presentation very seriously here. Small and beaufitul. Mostly women were there enjoying lunch. Really nice view of Minato Mirai ..Landmark Tower and the whole waterfront area. Nice, special lunch. Portions are beautiful although smallish, so perhaps not ideal for those with large appetites. Very nice for a ladies' lunch. Would be a nice place to commemorate a special occasion. Good for conversation. The servers were very nice and friendly and they even prepared a "Happy Birthday" dessert plate. Very good, friendly service.
