It is a wonderful dining experience in a private room with beautiful view and top notch services. The sous Chef, Mr. Toru Oe, is professional and confident with his dishes. The waitress, Makiko Ando, is kind and attentive. Most of all, Yebisu has very good values for the money, unbelievable consider...ing the quality of food, luxurious dining place and the services we get. Especially, I am very satisfied with Kids menu as well which has very good configuration at reasonable price. Located on top of The Westin hotel, the restaurant offers great views. I enjoyed fabulous grilled foie-gras and grilled scallops, teppanyaki-style. Delicious.

What an amazing experience this was. Yebisu is everything I thought it would be and more. I had the Chef’s Recommendation with Premium Hidu Wagyu. From the clear soup, melons and minced beef I moved onto the lobster which was truly amazing. Grilled Vegetables and then the Hida which is worth its wa...it to the point you are eating slower than you ever have to savour the experience. Miso and pickles and seasonal fruits capped of a truly sensational dining experience. Highly highly recommended.

“Very pretentious and behind the times ”

I rarely get disappointed, but a rude start definitely helps me get there. I went to the restaurant, which is on the 22nd floor of the Tokyo Westin, with my family. We asked if we could order from the à la cart menu. The Maitre d’s assistant said yes. Therefore, we asked for a table. She said, “It’...s reservations only!” So we asked her if we could get reservations for that same evening. She responded, “I am sorry, we are fully booked for the rest of the evening!” Just to double check, we took the elevator down to the lobby of the hotel and inquired with the concierge. Very courteously, he called the restaurant and made us a reservation for 10 minutes later. He even apologized that we had to wait 10 minutes, which we did with no problem. Once seated, we observed that there was plenty of room at the restaurant — it was only half full! Although, that is not what I can say for the dining experience. I would consider it way less than half full! To begin with, the chefs appeared barely alive; going through their motions as if they were working at a factory line — no emotions and no interactions! Some people enjoy their food by the price they pay. For me, on the other hand, it’s about a lot more than that. We are in a new millennium, and this restaurant is stuck in the past. There was very little purpose behind their food. No organic products (or at least non stated), and no descent vegan and/or vegetarian options, unless one just wants to eat mushrooms, a few Brussels sprouts, and three potatoes. To expand more on the food, except to say that it was good and eatable, would be to waste your time. To summarize, if you are staying at the Tokyo Westin and want to enjoy a Teppanyaki dinner experience, save the time and money and wait till you get back home and just go to your local Benihana’s.
