Buirejji Buangado Daina Kichijoji

I have been a customer for several years. Until 3 years ago it was a great place to get a good burger. However, over the last 3 years the quality has constantly decreased, until last week, when I tried once more to see if things got better... they didn't. By far the worst burger I had in the last 3 ...years here in Tokyo. The meat is low-quality, with pieces of fat in it, and it was cooked horribly. It almost looked boiled rather than grilled. Japanese folks never complain about anything, but any person able to taste something could tell this is really bad. The owner must really be obsessed by maximizing the earning, but there is a limit to it. The service is good, but terribly slowed-down by the kitchen. They not only cook bad, they also take forever to do so. Stay away from this place. It does not deserve your money.

I’ve been to this diner many times over the years at several of the locations and I’m never disappointed with the food. On Sunday a friend and I shared the bacon and cheddar burger and the special Gorgonzola burger. Both were excellent. The place seems to be no smoking now at least for lunch and ...that made me happy as it used to be terribly smoky sometimes. Soft drinks were served in disposable plastic cups with straws which is disappointing in this day and age with the movement towards reducing plastic waste. Sadly Japan is far behind in that kind of awareness. Our timing was perfect as we didn’t have to wait to be seated but there was a long line-up when we left.

Burger was good. But my husband had the one with bacon and it’s was just like huge brick of it🤷🏼‍♀️ We didn’t get why it was in that size and shape. Not really easy to eat that. Place was really smoked, so it’s not really relaxing to stay there.

We called in one Monday lunch time and the most awesome burgers. The lunch set included a choice of burgers, fried potatoes (not American fries-proper fried potatoes) and a non-alcoholic drink plus a small dessert for the equivalent of under £7. I had a bbq burger with onion rings incorporated which... was fantastic. Definitely worth another visit!

I've eaten at a lot of burger restaurants throughout Japan but this is the one place that keeps me coming back. Around 1200 yen for a burger. Good atmosphere and able to customize the burgers which is a rare thing in Japan.
