“Highly recommend this omakase sushi restaurant: amazing chefs and the highest quality fish”

Phenomenal omakase experience! Really friendly chefs with top quality ingredients sourced that morning at the market. Knife skill work to prepare the fish was truly incredible. I was served a wide variety of nigiri: raw fish that I've never tried before, grilled fish, steamed eel, and of course tor...o, chutoro, and uni. Reserve ahead online - I was able to reserve lunch ($120) a couple of weeks ahead of time. Sit at the counter, if you can, to watch the action. Go, you won't regret it and will savor each bite!!

“EXCELLENT NISHI AZABU SUSHI with ENGAGING CHEFS”

Have been to this place twice this year and both time the food and experience was excellent. If you want a very high end sashim/sushi experience without a lot of extravagant dishes, this is a great spot. Chefs were engaging, made an effort to explain each course and generally seemed to enjoy what ...they were doing, different than some spots that we have visited of the same quality. Clientele definitely tourist heavy so probably why they keep it fairly simple. If you want more inventive sushi, try Kuwano or Kosasa in Ginza. Can't beat the commute from the Grand Hyatt either.

“A delightful sushi experience!”

This was a fabulous experience! The chef had a great personality and encouraged my wife to try things she had never eaten before! He served some bites of fish I had never heard of along with the familiar ones. Expensive but we had around 20 servings of delicious sushi! I’d go back!!

“A very nice find”

My friend and I only decided to go to Tokyo around 5 weeks before our departure date. Therefore, most of the sushi restaurants which I wanted to go were already full. Fortunately, my hotel concierge still managed to book Sushi Tsu and Sushi Hashiguchi (my favourite sushi-ya in Japan) for us. We’...d dinner in Sushi Tsu on the first day of our 1-week trip. I already liked the decor (minimalist but not cold) and the ambience (lively but not noisy) when I entered the restaurant. There’re a 12-seat counter and 3 semi-private rooms (seating 4 to 6 guests). As far as I’d see, all the guests (except a female solo diner and us) were Japanese. The omakase menu included around 23 items of food. The ingredients were of high quality in terms of both freshness and source. For example, uni, the quality of which was exceptional, was from a top brand in Japan. The style of sushi was traditional Edomae without any gimmicks which brought out the natural flavours of the fish and seafood. The chef only speaks very little English but is charismatic and very friendly. I was seated opposite to him so I’d see clearly how he made each piece of sushi very skilfully. Both regular sushi vinegar and akazu were used for the shari depending on the neta. The neta was big compared to the shari for each piece of sushi so I didn’t get very full in the end. If I must criticise something, I’d say there wasn’t enough space between the guests at the counter. Ideally the counter should seat 10 instead of 12 guests. Still, it’s a very enjoyable dining experience.
