BUFFET and CAFE LA MAREA Mitsui Garden Hotels Shiodome

The food quality in general is pretty good and there's a very good variety, however, what I would really love to write about is the staff. My wife and I were staying at the Mitsui Garden hotel, so, breakfast was served at La Marea, when we checked in it was evening and it was the most logical option... for dinner. The waitress who showed us to our table noticed that were Muslims so she took the initiative and showed us every plate that had pork in it. The staff's attitude in general was just amazing, some of the sweetest people people I've ever dealt with.

Located next to the hotel lobby (Mitsui Garden hotel Shiodome Italia-gai), this restaurant offers a small buffet for lunch. Dishes are all right, but nothing really exciting. Moreover you may find things you already had for breakfast in case you stayed in this hotel. Service is good.

We were eating breakfast here and the good range was just bizarre - garlic bread and dreadful pizzas. There were chips and curry too. There were some tiny servings of cereal too, next to the crisps! None of it was well done.

I was early for my check-in to the hotel so decided on lunch - this buffet was in the hotel lobby. I paid around $A20 which I considered very reasonable. There were about 17 main dishes to choose from including pasta, pizza, chicken and Asian dishes. It was an eclectic but interesting variety. The...re was also a small but adequate salad choice and some desert choices as well. There were juices and brewed coffee. In addition to the variety there some new things to try such as the coffee jelly, which is exactly what it sounds like and the delicious vegetable croquets! All in all I enjoyed the buffet and thought the price was very reasonable.

Ok for breakfast, also had lunch and supper. Lots of choice in evening, well cooked and fresh. Alcohol drinks good value on 2 hour tab .... beer better than the wine ... bourbon was OK too. Got bored with breakfast as there for 8 days! European choice limited
