“Wonderful Soba!”
The place has two entrances that lead to two different rooms. The left room has the ticket vending machine, so you should head there first. The machine has no english, but the chef provided us with an english menu right after we walked in. I went for Curry Beef Soba and my wife chose Fried Chicken ...Soba. Mine was very spicy and it was absolutely wonderful. My wife was very happy with hers and thinks it was the best chicken she had on our trip. The chef was very nice eventhough she spoke very little english. The place is a bit small and there's only about 10 seats. No gimmicks, just one of the best soba-experiences in town! Highly recommended!

“Great soba dishes!”
This spot is around the corner from our hotel. We went for a late lunch at 2:30pm and had the quaint cozy place to ourselves. We ordered from a vending machine (there is no English menu, but lots of photos to help), and sat down and watched the chefs prepare the fresh soba in front of us. We ordere...d #17 and #18 - both really different and delicious!! We may go back one more time before leaving Tokyo. Paid 1750¥ for both bowls and another 200¥ for extra soba.

“Good soba that's open late”
Found this soba shop just after checking into a hostel down the street. If you arrive in Tokyo late in the day like many seem to do, then this may be your only option for a meal not from a convenience store. It uses a ticket vending system common among restaurants in Japan. Simple Wnglish menu is av...ailable. Seating is a little tight. Noodles were cooked the way I liked and the broth was clean and delicious. It was a great late night start to my time in Japan.
