“Cuteness Overload”
Last night looking for dessert in Koenji we happened on this café. It's located on the second floor and there's a small signboard on the street but no menu outside. We decided to take a chance Opening the door and going inside it seemed that Wonderland had thrown up - excessive cuteness. It was ...also much larger than we had expected. Looking up at the window from outside we had thought it would be a small simple cafe. There is quite a wide selection on the food and drink menu with many drink and dessert choices. The main menu also has English translation. We were told we each had to order something to drink - house rule I guess. There was a large drink menu and I opted for a mojito to start which was a mistake - it tasted like some kind of syrup and I'm not sure if there was any alcohol at all. My friend had banana milk which he said was ok. We both had parfaits. I had the chocolate parfait which had chunks of brownie, chocolate cheerios, marshmallows, corn flakes, bananas, chocolate syrup and ice cream. I didn't know what to make of it at first but finally I rather enjoyed it. My friend had the orange parfait which was also cutely topped and had orange jelly in the middle. There was only one person working there when we went but she seemed to be managing well with the twenty or so customers. I doubt I'll go back but I think it would probably be a good place for a children's birthday party.
