Kushiyayokocho Ningyocho

My colleague and I arrived around 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday. The izakaya restaurant, which has tight seating, was almost full - maybe 30 people in all. We were directed to a table and provided English menus with pictures. The pork and chicken dishes are primarily the parts that you didn't grow up eati...ng - innards, heart, liver, cartilage, etc. But the dishes are prepared very well and are tasty. A real treat was the horsemeat sashimi - delicious! The waiter was attentive whenever we wanted to reorder (you never know in an izakaya how much to order at once). This place has the atmosphere of a neighborhood izakaya, nothing fancy, and therefore a good experience.
