“Cabbage salad & Daikon salad was to die for!!!”
Meat was average...but the Hokkaido asparagus along with the simple cabbage salad w/sesame oil & shioppe and the daikon salad w/natto on top -- these were by far the freshest veggies I've eaten!! It was onolicious!!!

“Yummy yakitori!”
This place is not far from the train station in Sapporo, so worth a few minutes walk. Very much enjoyed our yakitori, and will also remember this as the first place I tried umeshu (a plum liquor - it is NOT a plum wine!) with club soda - I am now hooked! If I recall correctly, the menu is in Engl...ish, and the waitress spoke enough English for us to order....fun place!

“SO GOOD”
This place is totally awesome! They have an English menu but be forewarned that it doesn't include everything in the Japanese version (eg the garlic fried rice and the corn). I suggest looking through it and pointing to the dishes that interest you when ordering else you'll be missing a good part o...f the experience. The first dish to be served was the ajitsuke tamago or the lava egg appetiser. It was really tasty and was a immediate hit with the kids. The chicken yakitori are to die for. The meat is really tender and tasty. The pork version is equally good though there was quite a bit of fat in each slice. I recommend the version with just salt rather than with sauce so that you can really taste the meat. The beef yakitori is only so-so and my suggestion is to give it a miss. We had the garlic fried rice which was also pretty good and unique as it had strands of chicken in it. The corn was another hit as was the ramen salad. We had the both the chicken wings and karaage and I suggest choosing the later. Larger sizes can be ordered though the English menu only shows one size. Everything at this place was pretty good and we ended up visiting it 2 nights in a row. Pricing wise I felt it was fairly reasonable (I paid about 6000yen for 2 adults and 2 kids - 1 of whom is a fairly big eater). This include beers and sake. The restaurant also charges an extra 300yen on each diner who orders alcohol to which they provide a small but very tasty appetiser. The restaurant has an upper floor which tends to be quieter in the earlier hours but tends to get crowded with the corporate crowd later in the evening which can also get pretty smoky. It is just a short walk from the JR Sapporo Station and can be easily found as it is located right next to the junction and the illuminated chicken.

“Tasty, Quick and Easy”
This place is located not very far from Best Western Hotel Fino. I was on my own and had a very tasty, enjoyable meal. The waitress barely spoke English but pointing at the pictures on the menu did the trick.
