“Uotto-Very Tasty Seafood!”
Uotto is an izakaya or Japanese pub located near the Tanukikoji shopping street on 5 chome street. We were ushered to a private non-smoking booth for dinner. Dishes include sashimi moriawase(chef's choice of raw fish- tuna, sea bream, yellowtail, salmon, and thorny head). It was so fresh and tast...y! This place features a one handful of raw sweet shrimp (ama ebi) that you grab with your own gloved hand for your dish. Although the shrimp were a little small,they were fresh and flavorful. The grilled dish was dried, grilled atka mackerel (hokke) which was very delicious. The egg omelet in dashi stock(tamagoyaki) was delicious, as was the fried Hokkaido potatos(jagaimo fry) and the boiled al dente soybeans (edamame). There were a good amount of other foods to eat. There was a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Stop by, I think you'll like the food and cozy atmosphere.

“Uotto- Finest seafood”
Uotto うおっと Izakaya, located in the Sanwado Building, corner of 5-chome, next to Sunroute Hotel, B1F. Very good food and drinks, friendly staff, semi private booths, English menu available. Recommended: sashimi moriawase(asst'd raw fish), ama ebi(sweet raw shrimp), yaki hokke(seared Atka mackerel)-...delicious, tako wasabi(raw octopus with wasabi hot paste). Oishii!
