“Unwelcoming to foreigners ”
After two days of frequenting this cozy lovely bar, we were surprised by their shocking behaviour one night. We were about to enter but noticed the door was closed (probably due to the weather it was raining), but the bar was buzzing inside with enough room for us to join. However as we were about t...o enter the staff told us not to as they were closed. Exactly then a Japanese couple arrived and walked in and they were let in and offered a table and drinks. Since we noticed this, the staff realised we were aware that they had deliberately not let us in, and came out to call us back. But we were quite hurt by their treatment and decided to go to another bar where they would be happy to have us. Bar Espana ought to know being pointedly unwelcoming to brown people can only be viewed as racism.
