Great restaurant in Sapporo. We learned about it in an article in CNN. Very much a fine dining experience. Loved the risotto, it was the best I remmeber. The explanation of each food, allowing you to smell some of the ingredients, is a new experience to us and towards the end became "chotto" repetit...ive. Would come back again anytime!

Dining at CASA DI TAKAO is worth to drop everything and fly to Sapporo. The flavours are just incredible. Not only they are so delicious that every cell in your body is filled with joy but they are actually transporting the diner to the great outdoors of Hokkaido, to the magnificent forests and the ...seas. It is an experience that you'll never forget.

Takao is an incredible dining experience that I would absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Sapporo. This is fine dining that you can't find anywhere else. A perfect blend of meticulously executed Italian cuisine with exceptional local ingredients sourced from across Hokkaido. Call in advance bec...ause this restaurant is very small and only has a staff of three - who were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. At ~$100 per person for six-course tasting menu and a ~$50 supplement for wine tasting this is also a great value.

It was a great culinary experience. We really enjoyed the originality of the dishes, but most importantly its delicate taste. Most of the dishes they serve are from local sources. Beautiful presentation. Prepared with good care to enhance the flavors of all ingredients. Also tables are at a dista...nce so that there is no disturbance from other customers. Service was excellent with clear explanation of all the dishes served, and a complimentary drink because they did not have the one we had asked for. Reservation is a must. Not sure about English because I used Japanese.
