Kita-no Lamptei

Liked the fresh seafood and beef. Stunning views by the Pacific Ocean. Crowded though. Be sure to make reservation or you will be disappointed.

I had lunch at this restaurant. THey have seafood with vegetable set, meat/ sausage with vege. set and seafod and meat combined. We ordered combined set. The portion was big or maybe too big for us. It comes with salad and pickles and rice and miso soup. The wooden table and bench was good and from... the window we saw the sea. It was a great experience to taste locally grown food both from the sea nd the farms.

Can definitely agree with all the previous reviewers. We arrived at Noboribetsu sometime after 3 and our host tried calling them. We couldn’t get through (we later found out that they closed between 3-5pm) but our host assured us that if we went at 5pm, we should get a place. Unfortunately this wa...s not true and they were fully booked. We managed to get a table for the following night. We ordered a set menu for 2 for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. It was still too much! (See the picts) The seafood and sashimi were fresh and the beef...oh wow. Only negative bit was that once the placed filled up, there entire restaurant filled with smoke. Kids and wife found it irritating to the eyes.

Super value for money. Everything was good. The fresh produce was out of this world. There was a poster there that said they were distributors for private label produce but my Japanese is really Bad . Whatever it is, the beef I had here was the best ever.

We made a reservation online via facebook (find their restaurant in japanese) and through google translation after reading other reviews that reservation is needed. We had the japanese grill set for 2 (i think it was 6000 yen for 2?) and it was really good! We added on something for 350Y each (rando...m small appetizers) but would not bother with that the next time. The set includes meat and seafood; the seafood includes 2 huge scallops and clams, squid, salmon, fish (to be deep-fried and filleted- really good! save some space for this). The meat includes sausages, pork belly, beef, chicken, and they also included mushrooms, pumpkin, potatoes. Was so full after this and took about 1.5-2 hours to finish everything! The only small downside is that it could get a bit smokey inside the restaurant due to lack of ventilation and most people are having the japanese grill but we sat at a private corner of the restaurant so it was still fine! Will definitely visit here again :)
