Wafu Gyudon (Japanese-style beef bowl)

This is one of Nakau’s most popular dishes, featuring a special sauce rich in savory flavor, combined with the sweetness and fragrance of white leek enabling deeply delicious enjoyment. For an addition of 150 yen, this dish is served with salad and miso soup.

Omori (large): 500 yen / Nami (regular): 350 yen / Mini: 300 yen

Oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl)

The oyakodon consists of a rice bowl covered with simmered chicken and topped with scrambled egg. It is said this dish is named oyako because chicken represents the parent (oya) and egg the child (ko). Nakau uses select eggs for this dish, boasting an excellence comparable to oyakodon specialty shops.

Haikara udon (noodles with bits of deep fried tempura batter)

Haikara udon is a classic Nakau menu. This simple dish consists of a ball of udon noodles in a light Kyoto-style dashi broth. Haikara means bits of deep fried tempura batter. This dish is available in a small-sized portion perfect as a companion to a rice bowl.

Nami (regular): 280 yen / Sho (small) udon: 140 yen

Niku udon (beef noodles)

Udon noodles luxuriously covered in the same topping used for the wafu gyudon (Japanese-style beef bowl). The savory yet sweet flavor of the beef topping tangles exquisitely with the udon dashi broth resulting in a dish that tantalizes the appetite.

Nami (regular): 450 yen

Katsudon (fried pork cutlet and egg rice bowl)

This dish consists of a rice bowl covered with a fried pork cutlet topped with sauce and scrambled egg. The combination of the thick and tender pork cutlet and fluffy scrambled egg results in an irresistible taste sensation.

Wafu chicken curry

This curry stew is carefully made with a wafu (Japanese style) dashi broth and plenty of fresh vegetables. Recommended for hungry eaters.
