One of our favorite restaurants at Dotonbori! My family and I love udon and this place delivers THE BEST UDON we have ever had. The Oyakodon (chicken, eggs and rice) was also exquisite. We enjoyed our dining experience so much we were compelled to return a few days later. Although the size of the es...tablishment may seem small and unassuming, the quality of the food will elevate your tastebuds to an otherworldly dimension. We did not have to wait to be seated but if there is a line, be patient for you will be rewarded. Happy dining!

A must do while in Osaka! Experience was great. People were extremely friendly. Food was fantastic! Highly recommend to show up at least 30-45 mins in advance before opening due to high demand. First come first serve basis (no reservations).

Dotonbori Imai Honten is an udon specialist located at the heart of the very busy Dotonbori shopping area. The noodle shop stands out as a traditional Japanese country side house surrounded by a mini running stream and cobbled path. The main dining room is spacious, bright and clean. Servers are ...very efficient. Average dining time is about half an hour. The signature Nabeyaki-Udon (JPY 1,750) is delicious and reasonably priced; soup base is not oily and the duck meat is tender.

All very average food and atmosphere would not go back. Serving size was pretty small and there was very little value. Don’t know what all the fuss is about.

This restaurant is right on the busy Dontobori road which is the main road in the nightlife area in Osaka. Once inside your are in a quite oasis. The décor is basic and simple, service very good. The food was also simple, but very tasty and very good value.
