This is the Minoo branch of the well-recognized udon noodle restaurant company called "Mimiu" which claims to be the first udon-suki or udon hot pot dish. Using a large earthenware cooking pan with a large amount of dashi base soup, they cook right at your table vegetables, seafood (and/or some mea...t) together with udon noodle. This is a great body-warming dish, especially during the cold months in Japan. If you are driving around Highway 171 in the Minoo region, this is an excellent stop for fancy noodle experience.
