“Nice atmosphere and great food”
we happened on this place on our way to Murin-an. It's just down the street. Soba our favourite plus a Kaiseki (?) type meal. Tatami floor and seating. Outlook on an internal pond and external small garden courtyard. The food was great and the price more than reasonable.

“Lunch near Heian Shrine”
We stumbled on this restauant on a hot Kyoto day, minutes away from the Heian Shrine and Kyoto Budokan. Typical Japanese lunch - good quality and fair prices. Nice interior with a small garden.
