“Fantastic dinner at Sapporo Kaniya Kyoto Branch!”
THANK YOU CHEFS = KODAMA SAN & KUWAYAMA SAN at Sapporo Kaniya Kyoto Branch We were specifically looking for Japanese restaurant specializing in King Snow Crab 🦀 and Wagyu Beef and we were absolutely pleased with Kaniya Kyoto Branch! We made a reservation at their Teppanyaki room and the 3 of us ...had probably the best dining experience in Japan with amazing King Crab and Wagyu! All the items were freshly prepared right in front of us by 2 Chefs; Kodama San and Kuwayama San whom both were extremely professional and friendly! We ordered one set menu (i thank with 9 course) and a la carte. Each meal and course was managed to be served with perfect timing, steaming hot fir hot food or cool fir cold food, beautiful presentations and totally delightful & delicious 😋 ...both Chefs were super and they even served our drinks! Wonderful experience and highly recommended!!!

“Please save yourself from the agony. ”
Save your time and $, this restaurant literally wastes the raw materials with it's stupid cooking. I was so disgusted, walked out before finishing. Didn't want to stay in the stinky environment. 62000yen. Not expensive for the materials used, but the cooking method makes this place a waste of c...alories.

“Not too bad crab considering Kyoto is a beef place”
We wanted to eat snow crabs although we were in the wrong region. Found this place through google. Did not make reservations in advance, but the place is fairly empty. More catered to tourists. There are english menus, and the food is slightly on the expensive side. But we had the best crab tempur...a ever. so do order that if you have the chance.

“Not good at all”
Having made reservation in advance & got email confirmation, but they couldn't find our booking when we arrived there. Anyway, there're quite a number of vacant seats even without reservation. Almost 80% of the customers are Chinese. The food quality is average and the service is even worse. Not goo...d at all!

“Crab feast”
We ordered some sets and everything was amazing with kani sashimi, kani sushi, kani grilled, kani tempura, cold kani, nabe and we washed everything down at the end with a crab porridge. If you like crab, this is the place to come to.
