We spent only 5 days in Japan, between Osaka and Kyoto. And tried to eat as different types of meals as possible. This Izakaya was perhaps the best experience. The place is packed with local patrons, who tends to get loud, but in a pleasant way, as if it was one big party. The extensive menu, with a... version in English, coupled with a waitress who could speak good English, provided us with plenty of options to choose from. Everything we had was exceptional, including the house sake, which we downed in copious amount. All in all, I can only hope to have a chance to go back. If you are in Kyoto, don't miss it out.

Every time after we checked in we will go to the the near by restaurant to find something to eat. As a foodie, I alway find some good restaurants. This time we walk to this izakaya restaurant where are full of locals. If you want to try the local food, you have to go to the place full of local. The ...price is more reasonable and authentic food. We had this Bbq all kind of fish, it turns out we have to cook the fresh clams(3kinds) dry smoked fish and dried squid, good to pair with Sakes or beer. Make sure you have you translation app with you. You will be fine! Enjoy the food and don’t feel bad you are the only not speak the language. 每次到酒店都会走去附近的巷子找找美食。不管是上楼还是下楼都无所谓。这次我们走去这个渔港只送的地方是上楼铺。虽然鸡同鸭讲 但是我们都拿了个电话 互相翻译着。六点多到被告知要在九点钟以前吃完。完全没问题，马上入座 没什么人英文菜单 靠着日文里的汉字 选了 烤海鲜（后来发现要自己来烤，完全没问题，我动手能力太强，难不倒我） 要了刺身船 还有牛杂 盒压寿司 还有2个大生蚝，豆腐刺身（京都的豆腐还是很出名的）最重要 一大壶清酒。 中间依靠翻译软件 没有什么误会。餐馆就一台客人到差不多都满了。 因为要快点喂饱肚子，没什么心情小酌。 分卷残云的吃了所有食物。 不错的选择。 不会日文记得带翻译神器

We had a very enjoyable meal here, starting with an amuse bouche of grill your own at the table firefly squid and some kind of cabbage green. These tiny little squid are simply wonderful! We also had grilled atka mackerel; a delicious salad of mizuna, fennel, tiny fish, yuba, and fried tofu; braised... gurnard with vegetables, and the maguro hamburg. Service was good. Would definitely eat there again. Price for 3 was very reasonable.

Great staff, food was really good. It's not exactly cheap but if you are looking for an authentic japanes experience this is the place. Pay attention: no english menu available

Excellent for a good dinner with your friends: excellent simple Japanese food, courtesy and a lively atmosphere, young guests, reasonable prices.
