Just right next to the hotel I stayed in, so I grabbed a dinner here which had not disappointed me. The food and drinks were both nice.

***日本語は英文の後にあります*** This franchise Japanese pancake shop is quite popular but if you decide to go to this blanch, please be careful with the rude manager!! There is another one near by its called “Kyoto Higashi (East) “ please try this one as the service level is so different especially for non Jap...anese customers. I went to Kyoto blanch and I didn’t have a reservation. The manager said “ no booking no seat “. I kindly asked “ Can I wait?” He said “ you can but it’s better you leave” what kind of service? He just didn’t want us to wait? I was upset so I said to him “ are you saying that you don’t want us to eat here?” After I complained, he said “I advised to leave because it’s too busy” anyway I’m Japanese but I was with some western friends so I could tell he treated us like this way. After we were sitting on the chairs where we could wait for a table, we saw some Chinese came into the shop. The manager said “Full, no seats” without smile. It was so rude way. Obviously they left. However Japanese customers came in soon after and the manager was very friendly to them. I really don’t appreciate this kind of service. After a few days later, another my western friends wanted to try Okonomiyaki so I decided to change the blanch. It was amazing that another blanch was so much better!!! The staff was very friendly to non Japanese customers!!! この京都駅前店舗の店長の外国人に対するサービスが最悪です… お好み焼きが美味しいのに残念… 従業員が親切なのに、店長がサービス悪かったら、誰に苦情を言えますか⁈ 京都東店が、すぐ近くにあります。外国人に優しいです。東店をお勧めします！ 外国人のお友達と京都に行ったので、どんぐり京都店に行きました。外国人のお友達と一緒だったのと海外生活が長いのもあり日本人に見えなかった様で、いきなり片言の英語で「ノーブッキング、ノーシート」と門前払い的な接客対応をされました。ちょっと酷いなと思って、直ぐに日本語で「待つことは出来ますか⁈」と尋ねると、「待って貰っても良いですが、待たない方が良いですよ」とお店から出るように勧められました。外国人の友達がここに来たいと調べたお店で、他のお店を探すのも時間がかかるので待つことにしました。待ち時間の間に、中国系や西洋人のお客さんが私達と同じように予約無しでお店に入ろうとすると、店長がカタコトの英語で、「ノーシート、フル」を繰り返し追い払う感じでした。同じ日本人として恥ずかしかったです。席に着くとアンケート用紙がありました。他のスタッフに、店長さんってどの方ですか⁈ と聞くと入り口にいた男性従業員だと言われました。アンケート用紙が店長に届くなら書く意味が無いので書きませんでした。因みに日本人客に対してのサービスは良かったです。どういう意味か分かりますよね。最低だと思います。因みに、東店は、全然違います。これから東店に行きます！
