First time experiencing shabushabu for this North American, and what a pleasant experience it was! First, a relief that the waitstaff were able to explain the process in English. Second, they were also prepared to answer questions about a shrimp allergy re: ingredients in broths and sauces. Third, I... was provided with a fork without asking, maybe to handle the slippery fat noodles, or maybe because I just gave off the aura of complete ineptitude with chopsticks. (Believe me, being left-handed, I have tried and failed for years.) The broths were delicious, the meat flavorful, the vegetables plentiful, fresh and not limited in quantity. Rice and a few varieties of noodles rounded out the selections, and the self-selection of ice cream was the perfect ending.

Tajimaya Aeon Mall Kyoto is a restaurant located in this shopping center, not far from the main train station in Kyoto. It is a restaurant, where you cook meat and vegetables in a cooked soup. In fact, you can ask for two types of soup and the meat. And also, you can choose vegetables and species fr...om a buffet. Then, you cook your food and you can ask for all the meat you want for a limited time (90 minutes). As dessert, there are some ice-creams. Curious, interesting and japanese. Very interesting and very good.

Buffett is Value for money. Beef quality is ok and vegetables fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant ambience.
