Daichu

We stopped in for lunch after seeing good reviews and it was very good ramen. I would recommend this as a casual lunch spot.

Daichu is a restaurant of Ramen, which is located under the Kintetsu elevated railway near Momoyamagoryoumae station. It is apparently not very clean, but the taste is excellent. The soup is Tonkotsu based and somewhat similar to that of Tenkaippin. By ordering, you can choose the topping.

When I was high school student, I often had came there for secret branch:-) Location is under KINTETSU railway viaduct, Atmosphere is like a food stand(YATAI) of Southeast Asia. I again visited today for the first time in 10 years. Plating Ramen style becomes more "Sophisticated" but taste is sti...ll tough and strong such as Fukuoka Yatai style, and it made me happy:-)

I think still this place is occupied by lots of locals so far, but I want to introduce to foreign travellers as well, because 1. It is extremely handy location from station. Find Momoyama Goryomae station and walk down along the exit then you can see this ramenya right in front of you. Only takes 1...min or 2 mins to get here 2. Nice staff. Everyone is nice and kind to take your order. 3. English menu is available. Menu explains everything you want to know. 4. Genuine taste. The broth is just perfect to amuse your tongue and you can feel it is totally different level of ramen from you have tasted so far. 5. Resonable price. It only costs you about USD 7 or so. The set menu includes ramen and fried rice seemed to be the most famous menu here and I remember this option is also appropriate level to pay. Why you are hesitated for? Just go for it! ** They open from 11.30 and close at 14:00 (but recenlty it changed open hours to 16:00 I remeber...
